Yesterday I watched this easy peasy breezy
tutorial on making pinwheels from the
Missouri Quilt Company and was inspired. So today, because I *obviously*
(I say with rolling eyes) have nothing else to do, I decide to nip downstairs and see what I could do. Guess what? It worked! And it was just as fast and easy as they said.
As I was just testing the waters with this method I didn't go crazy, but I realized at once that I would have enough to do a nice pillow cover. So a little sashing and an envelope closure on the back and voila!: my Friday project.
What are YOU making today?
This is adorable--I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow!! Adorable pillow!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely cushion. Great use of a day. I love the Missouri Quilt Tutorials - they are really easy to follow and the ladies seem so sweet. I swear by their mitred corners! I'm also making cushions today - I've been in a frenzy of making them all week. Evidence can be found on my blog - www.mrsbiddlesbitsandbobbins.blogspot.com.

That's a great pillow. I just finished a new quilt. It has dogs wearing shoes on it, and it's a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely and really cheery!
ReplyDeleteAnd weirdly enough, I just did a little pinwheel mini quilt last week. (It still needs the binding.) Now, what's weird is that it's probably been a good 12 years since I last did pinwheels, and all of a sudden I got a urge to do them. Once again great minds think alike, (but I think I like yours best!)
Isn't that an amazing tutorial? I discovered it a few weeks ago and have been itching for some time to put it to use! Thanks for sharing it again!!
