Way back when, when Michelle first quit her day job in NYC to follow her pursuits of creating her own fabric designs she had a little Etsy shop/business called
Cicada Studio. There she sold her digitally printed canvas- including a collection called
Mod Quad- for a fairly hefty sum. Despite the price, the fabric sold- and sold well! It was one of the motivating factors in reaching out to her now-partner, Gina, in hopes that she could help source a manufacturer for her to mass-produce it and bring it in at a more reasonable cost.
Well, as the story goes, Michelle and Gina quickly developed other ideas (as they are prone to do when they get their heads together) and conceived of Cloud9 Fabrics. Of course, this avenue took them away from interior weights, but now as they enter their 4th year, they are finally going back to the root of what drove the business into existence. After all this time, Cloud9 Fabrics is proud to announce a neat run of the popular prints that created the spark.
GeoCentric consists of 3 prints, each in 2 color ways in some of today's hot colors. Mix n' match or to use on their own. In 7oz canvas in 44/45" width these bold prints and their larger scale will be perfect for upholstery, home decor, and accessories. Coming this summer.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I can see a massive summer tote in my future! Or maybe done pillows for the deck chairs....
ReplyDeleteHurray! So glad you're branching out into different fabric weights. I stopped buying non-organic fabrics some time ago and Cloud 9 prints are always exciting, but quilting cotton isn't always what I need. These look really nice.
ReplyDeleteYeah! Hope you'll reprint the Earthy Delights collection as well--that one always had me drooling.
