Midnight at the Oasis quilt

Midnight at the Oasis quilt topper

It's a little premature- and I tend to like to show only completed projects on the blog, but will you just look at how this quilt is turning out?!

I know black-based quilts aren't the rage, but I'm thinking this one can be very persuasive in promoting a new trend. So many people decorate with black. It's so dramatic and striking. So, let's hear it: Trend! Trend! Trend!

Lots of credit due on this project:
  • Midnight at the Oasis quilt pattern by Lizzy House as part of her 1001 Peeps: 5 Magical Projects book.
  • Miscellany fabric designed by Julia Rothman.
  • Cut and assembled by Jaclyn Ferrell, our fab sewist. And a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on her recent engagement
  • It will be quilted by the lovely and talented Angela Walters- just have to gather the batting and ship it out.
  • I am happy to say I chose the fabrics and orchestrated the project. I love a great collaboration!
