Looking on the bright side, it gave me an opportunity to make something useful for my kitchen in Nature Walk. These are "my" colors, so I'm looking to add little bits in just about every room in my house. I found this excellent and easy tutorial on Craft: for the project. Instead of a ribbon I used some small scraps of fabric sewed them together, then made a little .5" wide tape.
If I were to do it again (and I might because they were so darn easy- and Heather's collection is on it's way {more on that soon!}) I'd invest in some of the Insul-Bright that they recommended.
I really like these - I don't care for the bindings on homemade potholders - mine always comes out wonky looking.
ReplyDeleteReally nice, Michelle!

You did a wonderful job with the fabrics on these. I'm not sure how you lose potholders though. LOL Too funny. Mine will NOT go away and I have a super hard time tossing something. My potholders are SO gross looking that even the washer doesn't want to clean them up. I need to make new ones myself.
ReplyDeleteReally like these, lovely and colourful x
