In going through my scrap box I was smiling to myself about how well all the different fabrics from our various collections work so well together. In fact, it inspired me to whip up some scrappy pillows!
Pearl, Earth solid, Sky solid (from Beyond the Sea) and Meadow (from My Happy Garden), couple beautifully with the blue tones of our current My Happy Nursery.
Pod and Cloud solid (Beyond the Sea) are great accents to the pink tones of My Happy Nursery.
Likewise, our Forest Friends Flannels also meshes well!
These scrappy pillows couldn't be easier: Just sew up a bunch of strips- don't get too hung up on measuring... as long as you're over-compensating, you're fine. Cut down to the size of the pillow form with a .25" seam allowance on all edges... back with a simple envelope closure. These took me about 1 and half hours for the pair of them.

ReplyDeleteI really love it how you've designed your fabrics so that new lines can mix and match with older ones. I've just ordered some My happy nursery fabric and I can't wait for it to arrive. I'm thinking of backing it with some of your gorgeous flannel in pink bunnies. Your cushions look great!
