Introducing the Cloud9 Fabrics Designer Series

This project has been a while in the works and all these secrets are pretty much killing us. But today we're finally letting you in on a little taste of things to come from Cloud9 Fabrics.

Introducing our Designer Series.

2011 will mark the beginning of Cloud9 Fabrics’ 3rd year and as usual, we’re pioneering towards bright horizons. Our first 5 collections have been designed by co-owner Michelle Engel Bencsko. She loves her job, but she also loves collaborating with and supporting others. So, a new idea took shape; one that marries many facets of Cloud9’s business interests: the Handmade Movement, Independent Artists, the Quilting Market, and of course, Eco-Friendly alternatives that are affordable to everyone.

The Designer Series is meant to highlight artists and designers whose strong visual impact help define today’s current handmade movement. These are people who's imagery typifies the diversity, charm and relevance of a culture brought about in part by the desire to move away from generic mass-produced commercialism, the impulse to get back to basics and to give meaning to the things we buy. This passionate enthusiasm brought momentum to local and worldwide communities, retailers, online marketplaces, the revitalization of the craft fair, and their supporters.

Cloud9 Fabrics, being an independent company with a background entrenched in the handmade community, sees a unique opportunity to bring our featured designers to a worldwide crafting industry that has yet to explore their talents in this fashion, while at the same time drawing new enthusiasts to the quilting and fabric community. The collections will be tight, stylish and multi-functional. They will deliver new aesthetics, colors and imagination to Cloud9’s organic cotton selections. Best of all, they will be offered at a price point that most customers will embrace: the suggested retail price for these unique and inspiring collections will be under $12/yd.

As always, at the core, Cloud9 Fabrics continues to produce quality organic cotton goods. Our commitment to a healthier world with more wholesome alternatives drives our business. We offer eco-friendly options that appeal to a wide range of customers with a common thread of concern for our environment. The support of eco-friendly fabrics will only strengthen the demand for them. It is our hope that by broadening our own offerings, we will see a growing interest in global organic cotton farming and concern for the land as well the people who work it.

The premier Designer Collections will be previewed at the upcoming International Quilt Market in Houston. Come visit us at our booth #1850-52.
