The Waiting Game

As promised, I can show you a few strike-offs. Now, it's important to note that these are still far from production... they are primarily for screen approval and they are pulled by hand (screened by hand on a table, not by machine on the press). The color on these are a better match than the first strike-offs though, so that's why I'm feeling a little revealing tonight. Now that we've approved all the screens, the next step is to get a pre-production sample, which will be a more accurate representation of production- it will be on the proper base cloth, on the proper machinery, finished and in the correct colors (hopefully).

Perhaps you can see now how long this process can be. It's been over two months since the artwork was sent to the mill and we're just at this point. Anyone who's been following me may recognize a streak of impatience in me... which is why it's so darn difficult to hold back these little peeks, regardless of whether it's "true" or not.

So, enjoy the little preview for now! I hope I've whet your appetite for more. Soon, my friends, soon!

  7. These look lovely--I can't imagine how much this must be testing your patience. I get near-postal if I have to do more than 3 color corrections on my home printer!

  8. So lovely! And you must be a model of patience if it takes so long for the mill to do things!
